Experience You Can Count On.
Genuine Electric was founded by Ben MacDonagh on 27 years of experience in Idaho’s electrical industry, with a commitment to quality workmanship, practical solutions, and straightforward communication.
Built on Field Experience. Guided by Project Insight.
Ben’s career began in the field, where he spent 17 years working directly in the electrical trade. That hands-on experience established a strong foundation in electrical installation, troubleshooting, service work, and the practical demands of commercial and industrial projects.
Over the past 10 years, Ben has worked in project management and risk management, developing a broader understanding of what it takes to deliver electrical projects successfully. This experience brings together field knowledge, project coordination, contract awareness, and an emphasis on identifying and managing risk before it becomes a problem.
Genuine Electric brings these perspectives together to provide dependable electrical contracting services throughout the Treasure Valley and Central Idaho. Whether the work involves a commercial or industrial project, electrical service and maintenance, or a residential electrical need, the goal remains the same: deliver quality work, communicate clearly, and take responsibility for the results.
